Ithemba / Luo Gemeenskapsorg

Volgens ons mandaat om ons gemeenskap met die Lig van Christus te beinvloed (Influencing My Environment), is daar heelwat ontwikkelende bedieninge in ons gemeenskap.

Ithemba Family Support Centre in ons "township" area in Tokyo Sexwale, Jeffreysbaai. Die bediening word behartig deur Ria Pieters.

Ithemba Family Support Centre

 

Our mission is to provide a place of hope and safety for children in the local community.

 

Poverty has left a very large group of children in our township with little or no food and no safe place to stay during the day.  To address this need we started Ithemba Family Support Centre.

Through our creche, after school program and the Luo House, we offer every resource that a child might need to reach their full potential. 

Each child receives food, medical care, Biblical teaching, education and most importantly love!

Our primary aim is to create a stimulating and loving environment for the children. They receive a balanced meal each day as well as medical care if needed.

The after school program provides children with tutoring and help with their homework as well as extra curricular activities.

 

At Present Ithemba Houses:

  • A crèche with 63 children between the ages of 3 & 5

  • A grade R class with 20 children

  • An after school care program with 40-50 children

House Luo Kinderhuis

  • House Lüó in 'n Kinderhuis langs Ithemba waar 8 kinders op 'n permanente basis gehuisves word.

  • Daar bly een pleegmoeder wat 'n salaris kry saam met die kinders.

  • Drie van die kinders is wees, en een seuntjie is doofstom en tans tydens skooltye in Skool vir Dowes in Worcester.

  • Hy kom vakansies terug na Kinderhuis.

 

 
Ons benodig u hulp:

* Ons kort Spieëls, lessenare, beddegoed en heining om huis af te kamp.

* Ons benodig ook naweek-ouers om 'n kind vir 'n dag / naweek / vakansie of selfs net vir ete te neem.

* En dan benodig ons ook klere vir die kinders.
